	Kintamani is situated on a gigantic crater rim. The crater is 8.7 miles across at its widest diameter. In the middle stands the cone of Gunung Batur (Mt. Batur), an active volcano that lets out occasional puffs of ash.
	Kintamani is located at an altitude high enough to be uncomfortably cold if all you are wearing is a t-shirt. Better come prepared with a second layer, and long sleeves.
