Because of technical reasons (due to panoramic processing and exceptionally large field of view), when examined under magnification, certain elements may appear distorted or imperfect. I have a few VHS video tapes in PAL format (a foreign television format). I can not play them on my television. What can I do?

Answer:

Send your tape to a company that will transfer your tape from PAL (foreign television format) to NTSC (American television format). The company that can do that is:

This is a good resource for tape-to-tape transfers. You send in the tape in the foreign format (PAL), they will transfer it to a tape in the American format (NTSC) and return to you both the original tape and the newly transferred tape.

This is a good resource for transfer to DVD. This company can transfer your PAL VHS tape (the foreign video tape) into an NTSC DVD (for viewing in the USA). You pay for the transfer to DVD, but the PAL to NTSC conversion is free! (Also, conversions from NTSC to PAL)
