If you want to make it to the top, you must train and be in perfect physical condition: of the people who attempt the Kilimanjaro summit, about 60% do not make it to the top. There are two or three fatalities every year due to altitude sickness (AMS). Although Kilimanjaro is not a technical climb, it is NOT a walk in the park either. |
