I have a few VHS video tapes in PAL format (a foreign television format). I can not play them on my television. What can I do?

Answer:

Send your tape to a company that will transfer your tape from PAL (foreign television format) to NTSC (American television format). The company that can do that is:

This is a good resource for tape-to-tape transfers. You send in the tape in the foreign format (PAL), they will transfer it to a tape in the American format (NTSC) and return to you both the original tape and the newly transferred tape.

This is a good resource for transfer to DVD. This company can transfer your PAL VHS tape (the foreign video tape) into an NTSC DVD (for viewing in the USA). You pay for the transfer to DVD, but the PAL to NTSC conversion is free! (Also, conversions from NTSC to PAL)

Yes, you can play Video CD's a computer.

	You can play Video CD's on SOME DVD players. Pioneer DVD players across all models are known to play our Video CD's (VCD's). The trend is for increased compatibility: the new DVD player models are more likely to play VCD's than older models.
	The most reliable method to test compatibility is to order our DVD Player and Video CD (VCD) Test VCD. Fill out the form and we'll send you the VCD. If it plays on your machine, you know all our conversions will play just fine. If it doesn't play on your machine, you may be able to get a very cheap unit that will play CD-R's. 	The Savannah in Tanzania is dotted with volcanoes. It is a very unique landscape. A VERY flat, an endless plain, with volcanoes sticking out of the plain here and there, 360 degrees around you. Kilimanjaro is the largest and the most well known, but there are hundreds other volcanoes.
	These two volcanoes are on the southern edge of Serengeti.
